This lunchtime webinar discussion will cover some practical steps foster parents can take to build collaborative relationships with birth parents, to provide the best possible outcomes for children in care. We will discuss everything from strategies for initial contact to overcoming hurdles and establishing cooperative, respectful relationships.
The discussion will be led by Peg Cadd, Resource Specialist at the Coalition for Children, Youth, and Families, and a foster parent for over 40 years. We hope that you will leave the discussion feeling more comfortable and confident about co-parenting the child in your care.
We encourage participants to come prepared to share some of their challenges and questions as well as strategies they have found effective.
