2021 continued to bring its own brand of upheaval and uncertainty. As the ripple effects of the pandemic continue to fan out, we know that this was not an easy year for anyone—least of all, the foster, adoptive, and kinship families you support across Wisconsin. It takes a courageous heart for these families to face the many challenges that come up every day—and do not give up. Here’s a look at how you honored that courage and supported such families in 2021:

  • 500 learners completed 1,400 courses and webinars in the Champion Classrooms, our online, on-demand learning platform. 98% of those learners report feeling satisfied with their experience.
  • We added 3 new videos to the No Matter What Families—Stories of Hope & Inspiration website. The videos housed on that site were played nearly 600 times.
  • Our messages on social media were seen 418,000 times in 2021—a 200% increase from 2020.
  • We welcomed 23,000 returning visitors to our family of websites—proof that when champions need reliable and trustworthy information, they turn to the Coalition.

We are putting together some new and engaging learning opportunities for the year ahead, in addition to creating more No Matter What Families videos and curating compelling, timely, and relevant content for families touched by foster care, adoption, and kinship care. I look forward to sharing more with you about the impact of your generosity in the year ahead. Caring, generous people like you, who believe in our work and encourage our hard work and innovative approaches, make it possible for families to be strong and resilient.

With thanks,
