Happy New Year!
I hope this letter finds you doing well and feeling inspired for the year ahead. I recently read a quote that said, “Don’t set resolutions, set intentions,” which made me think about our vision at the Coalition: a “no matter what” family for every child. In order for us to realize this ambitious vision, we need to regularly examine our intentions.
In 2023, the Coalition team intends to look for new ways to meet the needs of those we serve. We intend to expand support for relatives caring for children while a parent gets healthy and strong. We intend to continue examining our offerings and adjusting to the feedback from families and the professionals who serve them. We intend to create better ways for families to build their networks of support and connect with others who understand them. We intend to continue to be a champion for kids and families because strong families are what make strong communities.
As you read further, you will learn about one family’s experience and how very important the intentions we have set are. And, I hope you see how “you” are part of “us.” Without your support, our intentions are merely words on paper. You help us be champions for children. You help us be champions for families. You help us build strong communities.
